The vision of the organization is to leave no stone unturned in helping and reaching as many children as
possible in the African continent. In the words of Madiba, the founding father of our democratically elected
country, South Africa, education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the World. With
this vision in mind, we will aim high and reach wide.
The African perspective is that as Africans we are part of the collective. The principles of the organization
are underpinned by the values of Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an African, Bantu-specific word, particularly in Zulu, that means humanity towards others and loosely translates as “I am because we are”. Hence, as an
organization, we are dedicated to the education of children across all regions of Africa, from the South to
the North and from the West to the East.
In our educational empowerment pursuits, we partner with donor-recipient schools and other networks to ensure that the educational needs of African children are met. The educational cost per child is identified and determined by the schools’ fee structure. Subsequently, such donations and funds are then paid directly to the schools. As an organization, we request feedback per child (academic performance and well-being) and ensure that transparency is essential in everything we do. However, for transparency purposes, particularly to our corporate donors and private individuals making large contributions, we provide a detailed budget and feedback report and financial statements, upon request.

We have plans to build partnerships and expand our current networks, but we also require donations to achieve a much further and wider reach within Africa. As an organization, we may be successful but as a network, we will be powerful, governed by the underlying principles of Ubuntu, “I am because we are.”
